Designed to meet Level 4 of the Code of Sustainable Homes, this property features: an air-source heat pump for space and water heating, heat recovery ventilation to minimise heat loss through extractor fans and to reduce heating requirements, high standards of insulation and building materials chosen to reduce heat loss.

Pre-application consultation with the local Planning Officer revealed no particular issues and the planning application was then approved under delegated powers in approximately eight weeks.
